The regulatory model is Indian, not translated
A US-designed EHS platform asks you to record a 'permit' with a 'renewal date'. That is not wrong, but it is far too coarse to be useful. Indian environmental compliance turns on category — a red-category unit and a green-category unit face different consent validity periods, different monitoring frequencies and different scrutiny. It turns on the specific numbered conditions inside a consent order. It turns on returns with fixed statutory dates, such as Form-V by 30 September. - Is EnvironDesk an EHS platform or an environmental compliance platform?
- It is deliberately the environmental half, done properly, rather than a shallow version of everything. Consent management, monitoring, returns, audits and reporting are deep; occupational health and safety modules such as incident reporting and permit-to-work are not the focus. Firms whose core problem is statutory environmental compliance get far more from a specialist tool than from a broad suite where the environmental module is an afterthought.

- In AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1). Data does not leave India. - Is there an API?
