MPCB compliance software for Maharashtra

From Tarapur's chemical units to Pune's auto belt — every MPCB consent, monitoring round and annual return across your Maharashtra clients, tracked in one place.

What consents does MPCB issue?

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board issues a Consent to Establish before a unit is set up or expanded and a Consent to Operate to run it, under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981, alongside hazardous-waste authorisation under the 2016 Rules.

Industrial belts
  • Tarapur MIDC, Palghar

Bulk drugs, dyes and specialty chemicals, served by a common effluent treatment plant.

  • Taloja MIDC, Raigad

Chemicals and pharmaceuticals on the Mumbai–Pune edge.

  • Pune — Chakan, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Ranjangaon

Automotive, engineering and their supplier base.

  • Aurangabad (Waluj, Shendra) & Nashik (Satpur, Ambad)

    Auto components, pharma and engineering.

Chemical clusters on common effluent plants

Tarapur and Taloja put hundreds of chemical and pharma units onto shared effluent infrastructure, and clusters like these have drawn regulator and tribunal attention over CETP performance. A unit's own monitoring record — inlet quality to the CETP, hazardous-waste manifests — is what protects it when a cluster comes under scrutiny.

What EnvironDesk keeps on track in Maharashtra

  • Inlet limits to the CETP, checked against every lab report
  • Hazardous-waste manifests and annual returns for chemical and pharma units
  • Large auto supply chains where one consultant may handle many vendors
  • Expansion projects that need a fresh consent — and sometimes EC — before work starts

Working with MPCB today: the compliance calendar, CTE / CTO renewal reminders, clearance board, lab reports, client messaging, quotations and invoicing all work for Maharashtra clients. Auto-filled application forms and the government fee calculator currently cover GPCB (Gujarat).

Maharashtra questions

Does EnvironDesk work with MPCB?
Yes. Tracking CTE / CTO renewals, the clearance board, lab reports against CPCB and NAAQS limits, WhatsApp and email reminders, quotations and invoicing all work for MPCB clients today. Auto-filled application forms and the fee calculator currently cover GPCB (Gujarat); for Maharashtra you track and file as usual, with EnvironDesk keeping every date and document in one place.
Do Form-V and hazardous-waste returns apply in Maharashtra?
Yes — both are national rules. The Form-V environmental statement is due by 30 September each year under Rule 14 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, and the hazardous-waste annual return (Form 4) by 30 June under the 2016 Rules. EnvironDesk reminds you of both for every client.
Are the Red, Orange, Green and White categories the same in Maharashtra?
The categories come from CPCB's 2016 classification and are used across states, though each board sets its own consent validity and fees for them. EnvironDesk records each factory's category so you can filter and plan by it.
