KSPCB compliance software for Karnataka
Every CFE, CFO, hazardous-waste authorisation and monitoring round across your Karnataka clients — on one calendar, with reminders that go out before the date, not after it.
What are CFE and CFO under KSPCB?
Karnataka calls its two consents Consent for Establishment (CFE), needed before a unit is built or expanded, and Consent for Operation (CFO), needed to run it. Both are issued by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981. Other states call the same pair CTE and CTO — the law behind them is the same.

Peenya, Bengaluru
One of the largest industrial estates in the country — engineering, electroplating and garment units packed close together, many on small plots.
Bommasandra & Jigani, Bengaluru south
Pharma, electronics and precision engineering along the Hosur road corridor.
Mysuru & Nanjangud
Pharmaceuticals, food processing and auto components.
Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi & Mangaluru
Foundries and engineering in the north; refinery, petrochemical and port-linked industry on the coast.
Small units, tight clusters, surface finishing
Bengaluru's estates are dense with small electroplating, surface-treatment and engineering units whose effluent is low in volume but heavy in metals. For a consultancy that means many clients with similar CFO conditions and frequent monitoring — the work is in keeping dozens of near-identical deadlines straight.

Karnataka questions
- Can I keep CFE and CFO under their Karnataka names in EnvironDesk?
- Yes. Each record carries the consent type and its own expiry; the calendar, reminders and clearance board don't depend on what the board calls it.
- Does EnvironDesk work with KSPCB?
- Yes. Tracking CFE / CFO renewals, the clearance board, lab reports against CPCB and NAAQS limits, WhatsApp and email reminders, quotations and invoicing all work for KSPCB clients today. Auto-filled application forms and the fee calculator currently cover GPCB (Gujarat); for Karnataka you track and file as usual, with EnvironDesk keeping every date and document in one place.
- Do Form-V and hazardous-waste returns apply in Karnataka?
- Yes — both are national rules. The Form-V environmental statement is due by 30 September each year under Rule 14 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, and the hazardous-waste annual return (Form 4) by 30 June under the 2016 Rules. EnvironDesk reminds you of both for every client.
- Are the Red, Orange, Green and White categories the same in Karnataka?
- The categories come from CPCB's 2016 classification and are used across states, though each board sets its own consent validity and fees for them. EnvironDesk records each factory's category so you can filter and plan by it.
